Meet Hayate Namikaze: The Dreamy Jounin
Hayate has been described by his peers, teachers, students and family as capable, accepting, kindhearted and at some times oblivious and clumsy. Through out his shinobi career he has remained resilient with his training and has garnered a defined work ethic. However, as determined as he is he has hardly been the person to bolster and show off his newfound skills or jutsu. Instead, he tends to unknowingly humble himself by appearing aloof and clumsy at times. Many girls in his class and from the village over the years have labeled him as “dreamy, alluring and overly-confident” due to his loveable nature and his alluring appearance persona. However, due to this, guys have generally though of him as “A guy with a cocky attitude who doesn't know when to quit.” However some of that may be true, it’s hard to tell if those guys were jealous of his excellence. Even though some may think that, Hayate has managed to maintain good relationships with those around him. As a boy he was rather impulsive, often giving into his feelings at the stir of a moment which led to some rash decisions. However as time went by and he became more of a role model to his younger sister, his impulsiveness has subsided to a degree and in it’s place a certain charismatic way about him. He has been known to switch personalities drastically when the situation calls for a level of seriousness to a point where he becomes shrewd and calculating. However, his ability to grow strong bonds quickly and his slightly impulsive nature may intertwine anyways. Although an intellectual, Hayate has demonstrated a demeanor in which he doesn't appear stuck in his head or self-aware; his jolly and upbeat attitude tend to stick out the most.
"Although generally known for his ninja prowess and headstrong attitude, Hayate is a firm believer in peace and if given the chance, would opt to not fight if the situation didn't call for it." -Kato Namikaze
Mannerisms/Quarks: Bites his knuckles when thinking, whistles (very good at it), runs fingers through hair sometimes putting it behind his ears, slaps people on the back to greet them, puts feet on table, can’t stand the color black, Sleeps in when he can, writes to no end, trains to no end, hard time accepting adivce/criticism.
Social Interactions: Hayate is generally at the center of the conversation due to his interest in other people. He has often been depicted as the most cheery of the group as he seems to be constantly smiling. He has never hesitated at meeting new people, in fact, he welcomes it. Because of this forward thinking attitude, Hayate may say hello to dozens of people whenever he walks through the village because of how many people he has gotten to know. He is often seen leaving a restaurant or social gathering with a group of people waving him goodbye.
None that anyone knows about.
While training with Kasumi, Hayate unknowingly attempted the summoning seal without having a contract to any animal. Because of that he transported himself to Mount Myboku and met one of the Toad Sages known as Gakuto. There he was badgered about his worth and potential as a contractee with the toads. After rigorous training Hayate was able to convince them to accept his contract offer and can now summon Toads to fight alongside him.
The Namikaze Clan is a well known group of Shinobi that have demonstrated a very collected resolve in the face of stressful situations. This in the past has helped them become critical thinkers when it is needed most. However, they tend to stray on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to personality. In general the Namikaze tend to be a very outgoing and cheerful people but it has been seen on several cases that they can also be the exact opposite. In Hayate’s case he seems to have inherited the outgoing and cheerful Namikaze genes as well as have a very stable resolve when thinking critically. He has also inherited the natural speed the Namikaze’s strongest tend to possess. Because of this inheritance, Hayate’s speed has matched several Chunin and an occasional Jounin.
Background Information Edit
Hayate was born into the Namikaze Clan. He is the eldest of two sisters and has a great relationship with all of them including his parents. He was very admired among his peers and excelled in the academy.
Besides the basics, only one thing is profoundly known about Hayate, a tragedy in the family that still haunts him. Still as an academy student, Hayate was with his sister when they were attacked by rogue ninja at the outskirts of Konoha. Arrogant, Hayate attacked the ninja and although he did well he was getting lost in the combat and was too busy fighting his opponents he forgot about his sister and turned to find her with her throat slit open. He was then overwhelmed and left for dead. This tragedy Hayate holds as his own fault currently which has driven him to be more aware of his comrades and family and also made him more determined to become stronger to protect the ones he loves.
Hayate graduated the Academy at age 12 achieving one of the top spots in his class. He was assigned to a Jonin leader named Kasumi Hozuki along with Gen Mozukai and Fudo Uchiha. Hayate took it on himself to develop a very rigorous training schedule in order to compete with his Gen and Fudo. Although the squad was competitive all three of them became very good friends.
It didn't take too many missions until Hayate was promoted to Genin Leader of Team 1. This title gave him the ability to lead his other two teammates when given the opportunity to. A title such as this is greatly admired among most Genin and serves as a valuable asset when being assessed for Chunin promotion.
During a training session with Kasumi, Hayate unknowingly used the summoning jutsu without having a contract with any specific animal. Because of this he was instantly transported to Mount Myoboku, the home of the Toads. After initial dislike with Hayate, the Toads grew to accept him and they both came to an official summoning contract agreement.
Hayate was visisted by an ANBU member with a messege from the Hokage as a Genin. It ordered him to spar with a Chunin who turned out to be Toka Shirogane. The spar turned into a fight that lasted for hours. It ended in a draw which sent both of them to the hospital. To this day neither Hayate nor Toka know why that spar was ordered by the Hokage.
Along with Fudo and Gen, Hayate passed the Chunin Exams in his first attempt at the ripe age of 13 years old. Although no longer Genin, the three of them remained close to each other and Kasumi as Team 1 constantly completed missions together. His promotion only fueled his determination to become stronger as Hayate continued training consistently. In was in this time that he unlocked the Lightning Release as well as the re-known Rasengan. He also has managed to keep a very strong connection with the Toads of Mount Myoboku as he is known to travel and train there often. This specific training has granted him the ability to summon the largest toads available as well as other various toad jutsus.
